Should I use an open or closed ear chain? jump ring?
If you are going to make an earring where you already have a small pendant with a closure jump ring, you want to hang on the ear chain, you must use an open ear chain jump ring in order to get your pendant on.
Carefully open the eel net with one or two flat nose pliers, hang your pendant and close the eel net again.
If you'd rather try making a small pendant with the figure-of-eight technique, you can both use ear chains with open and closed Jump rings.
If you choose an earring with a closed jump ring is it important that you put your pendant on the fishnet before you make the windings in the figure of eight.
